DockYard, Inc. provides Dine so diners can place and pay for restaurant orders while restaurants manage fulfillment, staff access, adjustments, refunds, and integrations. By using Dine, you agree to these terms.

1. Who may use Dine

You must be able to form a binding contract to use Dine. Diner accounts that place paid orders must be used by someone at least 18 years old. If an order includes alcohol or other age-restricted items, the restaurant is responsible for verifying eligibility before service.

2. Accounts and sign-in

Diners create accounts through the mobile app and may sign in through a magic link. Restaurant users use the web app with email and password authentication. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in access secure and for activity that occurs under your account.

3. Orders, payment, and service charges

When a diner submits an order, it is purchased and sent into the restaurant workflow. Table-delivery orders are associated with a dining table. For location-based pickup orders, the order is associated with the restaurant location and may include an optional pickup name. Dine assigns each order a Dine-### number for identification.

Dine may apply a disclosed diner service charge, taxes, and other disclosed charges before checkout. Payment information may be handled by payment processors, card networks, or wallet providers. Do not use Dine to place fraudulent orders, avoid payment, abuse refunds, or interfere with restaurant operations.

4. Restaurant menus and service

Restaurants are responsible for menu content, prices, availability, food preparation, allergen handling, fulfillment choices, adjustment decisions, and service at the location. Each location chooses its operating flow, including table delivery or pickup window where available. Dine provides ordering, payment, and restaurant operations software.

5. Cancellations, adjustments, and refunds

A restaurant may cancel an order, reject unavailable items, or decide a return request. When part of an active order remains, Dine may request a customer decision to approve or reject the remaining order within the displayed response window; no response may result in automatic approval as shown in the app.

Dine may reserve a refund for the affected order balance before the payment provider finishes settlement. The receipt shows Refund pending until the provider confirms the refund. Final timing may depend on the restaurant decision, payment provider, card network, financial institution, and applicable law.

6. Starting an order

Dine may use device location to sort restaurant locations and help prevent selection mistakes. A table-delivery order may begin by scanning that table's QR code. A pickup order begins by choosing a restaurant location and does not require a table. If you use a table code, use the code for the table and restaurant where you are dining.

7. Notifications, availability, and integrations

Dine may send ready notifications and other order updates when the restaurant workflow and device settings support them. Order notifications may be disabled, delayed, or unavailable. The authenticated order record in Dine remains available for current status when the app can connect.

Dine may integrate with point-of-sale systems, kitchen display systems, printers, payment providers, push notification providers, and other services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, notification delivery, or that every third-party integration will always work.

8. Ownership and permitted use

Dine owns the platform, software, designs, and related materials. Restaurants retain responsibility for their brand, menu, food, location, and operational content. You may not copy, reverse engineer, misuse, overload, or disrupt the service.

9. Disclaimers and limits

Dine is provided on an as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dine disclaims implied warranties and limits liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Changes and contact

DockYard, Inc. may update these terms as the product, payment model, or legal requirements change. If you have questions, contact support@dine.com.
