DockYard, Inc. collects information needed to identify users, route orders to the selected table or pickup location, process payment, deliver order updates, support adjustments and refunds, and operate Dine.

1. Information we collect

We may collect account information such as name, email address, phone number, authentication state, restaurant role, and support messages. For diners, we may collect order history, table QR scans, the selected pickup location, an optional pickup name, Dine-### numbers, adjustment decisions, refund records, and app activity used to find restaurants and place orders.

When you allow it, we may use device location to sort nearby restaurant locations and help prevent selection mistakes. We may also collect device identifiers, notification authorization status, an encrypted push-notification device token when available, app and browser logs, and diagnostic information to keep Dine secure and reliable.

2. Payment information

Dine may receive payment-related details such as payment method type, processor tokens, billing metadata, last four digits, charge status, wallet status, and receipts. Full card numbers and Apple Wallet credentials should be handled by payment processors, card networks, or wallet providers rather than stored directly by Dine.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts, show the correct restaurant and menu, connect an order to its table or pickup location, process payments and refunds, assign Dine-### numbers, record adjustment decisions, send supported order notifications, route orders through configured integrations, prevent fraud, troubleshoot issues, improve Dine, and comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We share the order information a restaurant location needs to prepare and hand off an order. Depending on the location's flow, that may include a table, pickup name, Dine-### number, items, notes, adjustment decisions, and refund state. We may also share information with service providers that support hosting, analytics, payments, customer support, fraud prevention, point-of-sale integrations, kitchen systems, and printers, as well as push notification providers.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect Dine, diners, restaurants, or others, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of business assets.

5. Sale or sharing of personal information

Dine is not designed to sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any required choices.

6. Your choices

You can disable location access or notifications in your device settings, update account information where available, unsubscribe from marketing messages, and contact us for privacy help. If you disable notifications, Dine may not be able to send ready or adjustment alerts; you can check the authenticated order record in the app.

Depending on where you live and whether a law applies to Dine, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain data uses. Submit requests at support@dine.com.

7. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Dine, support restaurant operations, maintain order, adjustment, notification, integration, and refund records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with accounting or legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should keep your account access secure and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

9. Children

Dine is not directed to children under 13. Diner accounts that place paid orders must be used by someone at least 18 years old.

10. Changes and contact

DockYard, Inc. may update this policy as Dine changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date or provide additional notice where appropriate. Contact us at support@dine.com.
